Biography

Dr Max Abrahms is a leading expert on U.S. national security, foreign policy and the terrorism threat. He is a professor of political science and public policy at Northeastern University, a member at the Council on Foreign Relations, a senior fellow at George Washington University’s Center for Cyber and Homeland Security and a fellow at the Observer Research Foundation in New Delhi.

 

His terrorism research challenges conventional wisdom. Max Abrahms is a frequent terrorism analyst in the media, especially on the consequences of terrorism, its motives, and the implications for counterterrorism strategy.

 

Previously, he has been awarded fellowships and financial backing from the Center for International Security and Cooperation at Stanford University, the Empirical Studies of Conflict project at Princeton University and Stanford University, the Moshe Dayan Center at Tel Aviv University, and the Belfer Center at Harvard University.

Abrahms presents his terrorism research to academic audiences throughout the world such as Harvard, MIT, Stanford, and St. Andrews, as well as at venues such as MENSA, TED-X Hollywood, and the National Counterterrorism Center.
