Jason Drew is a serial entrepreneur, passionate environmentalist and visionary who argues that the industrial revolution is over and the sustainability revolution has begun. Based on this he has developed a clear vision and blueprint for business in the 21st century.

Drew held leadership roles for companies including General Electric, BUPA and Egg before leaving the corporate world to start a series of highly successful businesses. In 2008, in a dramatic u-turn, he ditched all his 'industrial revolution companies' and, from then on, started and invested only in environmental businesses. He consistently applies his business strategies and ethics to all his new businesses alongside his avid passion for the sustainability of the environment.

Drew is an inspirational business leader of this nascent revolution. He has started and invested in some remarkable 21st century businesses, from the world’s largest insect farms, to an empowering and profitable toilet business in the slums of Africa as well as a company that is likely to replace the pesticide industry.

As old business models implode, new ways of doing business are emerging that will be more disruptive than the Internet. Peer to peer markets, product sharing platforms and 3-D Printing of everything from car parts to food will change the business world in the next decade. Whole new global industries are also being created that could not be foreseen five years ago. These closed loop businesses are driving a wave of innovation and creativity whilst changing business strategy, risk and governance.

Described by Leadership Magazine as one of ‘Africa’s most inspiring green leaders’, Drew is sharp, witty and above all a realist with a no-nonsense motivational and business focused approach to fixing our problems.

Drew won the Pea Award for Environmental Achievement in 2012 as Chairman of AgriProtein. Appointed Honorary Consul general for Pakistan in South Africa, Drew was also awarded the 2013 United Nations Innovation Prize for Africa.

He is an outstanding speaker on the future of business, corporate leadership, sustainable innovation, business in Africa and creativity in business.
