Dr. Katharina Balazs is Associate Professor of Leadership in the Strategy, HR & Organization Department at ESCP Europe in Paris, as well as Executive Coach. In her executive development and coaching work she specializes on maximizing performance and driving value et ExCom level, top team and Board dynamics, and works with both teams and individuals. She has worked with, among others, the World Economic Forum, Boehringer Ingelheim, Akzo Nobel, Crédit Agricole, Deutsche Bank, KMPG, Pernod-Ricard, Merck, Siemens, Societé Générale, Vivendi, TUV. In the past she was active as a strategic consultant in Scandinavia, focusing on M & As. She also worked as visiting faculty at Sciences Po and HEC Paris.
Katharina Balazs holds a MA degree from Vienna University, Austria, a DEA from CNAM in Paris, and an MBA, as well as an Executive MS in Coaching & Consulting from INSEAD, in Fontainebleau, France. She has worked as an organizational consultant in Sweden, Denmark, France, Austria, Germany and Hungary
She is licensed to use the MBTI I & II, the GELI, LAQ, Personality Audit, Cultural Audit, NEO-PR and the Firo-B. Her working languages are English, German, French, Hungarian and Swedish.
Author and co-author of several books, scientific articles and research papers on leadership, organizational excellence, transformation and change, her latest book “Some Like it Haute: Leadership Lessons of the Great Chefs” focuses upon the ways the great French and international chefs achieve organizational excellence.
Katharina Balazs has obtained the “Certificat Administrateur de Sociétés” (Non-executive Board Member Certificat) at Sciences Po/IFA in 2014, aiming for advisory board assignments in Europe.
