He has awards for best broadcaster, best documentary, and best factual series, and his credits include several eponymous programmes including a long-running Radio 4 phone-in Call Nick Ross, a BBC-2 talk show Nick Ross, and Westminster with Nick Ross with live coverage of parliament and election campaigns. He launched British breakfast TV and Watchdog and has presented many of the main factual TV shows including the forerunner to the Six O’clock News, A Week in Politics, Newsnight, On The Record, and the main radio news programmes including World at One, The World Tonight and Newsdesk. In 2009 he completed a year-long investigation The Truth About Crime, a landmark series for BBC One, and has other shows in development.

He has served on numerous government inquiries and committees, is a director of Crimestoppers, the UK Stem Cell Foundation and Sense About Science, an ambassador for the World Wildlife Fund, and is president, patron or chairman of around twenty charities. He is a member of several bioethics committees, twice been chairman of the Science Book Prize, Guest Director of the Cheltenham Science Festival, and inspired the Jill Dando Institute of Crime Science at UCL where he is an honorary fellow and visiting professor.

If you are looking for the best, whether to stimulate ideas or achieve consensus, in small groups of top executives, gatherings of the entire workforce and suppliers, public consultations or events like London’s mayoral candidate debates, Nick Ross can add considerable value with humour, intelligence, and business and political expertise. He is frequently involved in the planning process and he chairs meetings throughout Europe, the US, and SE Asia for national and international companies and organisations, the UK government and the European Commission. Almost every client has recorded well-above expectation levels of satisfaction.

He has been a member of leading medical and scientific and ethics committees and has wide experience of industry and commerce. He has a broad knowledge of IS issues, telecoms, financial service industries, IPR, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and is experienced in promoting corporate vision and strategy, change programmes and restructuring, customer focus, and total quality initiatives. He is accomplished as a catalyst in senior management dialogue and brainstorming sessions as well as in holding together very large-scale events or major international televised programmes. He is able to involve staff in open debate even in large and difficult environments, and is used regularly as a consultant in planning events to ensure they are lively and fulfil their aims.
