Following up on his successful career as a football coach, Pascal Dupraz is the author of “A Season with Pascal Dupraz: Lessons of Leadership” published in 2018, sharing best advice aimed at managers.
Pascal Dupraz first started as a professional footballer. He played as a striker in the 80s in many national clubs for 11 football seasons (CS Thonon, FC Sochaux, SC Toulon and FC Gueugnon) with a total of 220 professional matches (including 180 Ligue 1 matches).
Pascal Dupraz obtained his first position as a coach in 1993 at the FC Gaillard club and managed to rank the club in CFA 2 (French Amateur Championship 2nd level) and eventually in CFA (French Amateur Championship top level).
He officially ended his football career in 2000 to devote himself to his coaching activities.
Pascal Dupraz created a new local football club in 2003 in native region « Haute-Savoie »: Football Croix-de-Savoie 74. He decided to merge the FC Gaillard club, in which he kept helding the position of coach, and the football club of the neighbouring city.
In 2004, the club won the championship title of “France Amateur” and reached the third national division.
The club was renamed Evian Thonon Gaillard FC after a second merger, with the club of the city of Thonon this time.
Pascal Dupraz is recognized as a talented coach for switching Evian Thonon Gaillard FC from Division 1 to Ligue 1 in just a few seasons, including a « Coupe de France » final in 2012.
In 2016, Pascal took the lead of the Toulouse Football Club (TFC).
Demonstrating once again strong leadership qualities, the coach took over the challenge of maintaining the TFC in Ligue 1. He won the challenge during a match remembered today as a true rollercoaster of emotions and the team caught up 10 points behind in 10 days only!
Pascal Dupraz left the Toulouse Football Club in 2018.
For the release of his book “A season with Pascal Dupraz: Lessons of Leadership”, co-written with the entrepreneur and consultant Frédéric Rey-Millet, the coach gives us his best coaching secrets to succeed, but also to learn how to accept failure and move forward.
His book is prefaced by the coach of the 2018 World Champion French team, Didier Deschamps.
Pascal Dupraz gives us a glimpse of his daily life as a coach, from behind the scenes of a Ligue 1 team. His advice and good practices are exclusively based on practical examples that he encountered during his career as a coach.
