Stephen Kinsella is the author of Ireland in 2050: How we will Live, published by Liberties Press in 2009. Ireland in 2050 examines the changes in Ireland’s economy, culture, and society from 1950 to 2050. The main thrust of the book is that Ireland’s strategic priorities, and our direction as a nation, have never been set, and in the face of challenges posed by an ageing society, the coming energy crises, and climate change, without large scale institutional reform, and without a coherent set of policies in place, we neglect posterity, and our grandchildren.
Stephen Kinsella is currently Lecturer in Economics at the Kemmy Business School of the University of Limerick, having previously taught at NUI, Galway and the New School for Social Research in New York. Stephen’s academic research focuses on mathematical and experimental economics.
