Andrej Kiska is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and former president of Slovakia from 2014-19. Kiska was a highly regarded president and before he took office, the polls suggested he was Slovakia’s most trusted politician. He focused on social issues and increasing the standard of living amongst Slovakia while he was in power.
Previous to this, Kiska founded several companies, the most successful of which were leasing companies, Triangel and Quatro. The organisations provided financial services to more than 1 million people and became one of the most successful hire purchase companies in Slovakia. In 2005 he sold his shares in the companies and decided to dedicate his time to charity work and motivational speaking. Since then Kisha is author of two books that focus on success and happiness.
Andrej Kiska is the co-founder of the Good Angel Foundation which was established in 2006. He offered his management skills and a portion of the processes from his share sales to develop the charity and it is now considered one of the major non-profit organisations in Slovakia. The charity matches ‘donors’ with thousands of people facing serious illness a massive community that aids families with children who have faced difficult financial situation due to serious illness and is now the most successful non-charitable charity in Slovakia. He later co-founded Good Angel in the Czech Republic.
