He donates lots of time to take terminally ill and disabled young people on their first flight experiences in an aircraft, where he donates his piloting skills and his helicopter.

The Bank of Dave Movie was released in the UK on Netflix on January 16, 2023. It very quickly hit Number One in the Netflix Top Ten films charts and has become Netflix’s most successful independent British film of all time.
Dave’s films and documentaries have been featured heavily on international news channels and have become massive successes. He completed a global tour of Australia and New Zealand, launching his Movie into cinemas worldwide. Dave’s Bank of Dave Movie launched on Netflix in America on December 18 2023, and in just four days, was featured in the American top 10 Netflix film charts. In 2024, Netflix acquired all of the Bank of Dave Documentary Series, remastered them into 8K, and launched them onto their streaming platforms.
The Bank of Dave Movie won the big one at the National Film Awards, taking the top spot for “Best Feature Film of 2023.”
The 2023 film was a massive hit on Netflix, which immediately topped its UK most-viewed charts. That year, it also cropped up in Google’s global annual list of the most-searched films worldwide, alongside blockbusters like Oppenheimer and Barbie.
Dave’s life once again went global as Netflix announced the commission of a second film about Dave’s life, The Bank of Dave Sequel. This was the fastest-commissioned movie Sequel in Netflix history. The Bank of Dave Musical was officially launched to the press on September 22nd, 2025, and tickets are now on sale. The World Premiere will be held at the Lowry in Manchester on May 2nd, 2026, and then head to the theatre capital of the world, London’s West End. The show is a stage adaptation of the true story of entrepreneur Dave Fishwick, who started his own bank to support his community against big finance. The musical features a book and lyrics by Rob Madge, and music and lyrics by Pippa Cleary, the creators of Billy Elliott, with a directorial vision from Nikolai Foster, who produced musical giants Kinky Boots and The Cher Musical.
