Olga Chepelianskaia is an International Climate Change, Disaster Risk Management and Sustainable Urban Development Specialist. She is the Founding Director of UNICITI and leads the international program A Third Way of Building Asian Cities, which gathers over 15 international experts and 80 professionals across 30 countries. Over 15 years of her professional engagement, she managed 7 major international programs, covered over 30 cities and 40 countries, and worked with leading international institutions such as ADB, CDIA, ISOCARP, Rockefeller Foundation, UNDP, UNECE, UNEP, UNESCAP and UNIDO.

Olga Chepelianskaia’s technical expertise covers climate risk and vulnerability assessment, integrated urban planning and urban design, heritage revival and valorisation of cultural and natural assets, sustainable tourism and placemaking, urban infrastructure services, good governance and climate finance. Her brand approach is to help cities of the Global South become vibrant, sustainable, climate resilient, economically dynamic, inclusive and culturally unique by activating their unique cultural and natural assets’ potential.
