Asha Sumputh is a bilingual TV journalist speaking both French and English. Graduated from both Cambridge University and Panthéon-Sorbonne University, she started her career on the French news channel “i> télé” in 2007, before joining another major French channel, “Canal Plus”.
Today, Asha Sumputh still continues to collaborate with many Parisian and European production companies, directing and producing quality programs for television channels as well as corporates.
In September 2015, Asha started presenting “Business Africa” and “Initiative Africa” in both French and English languages. These two programmes, broadcast in fifty countries, highlight the economic and political news on the African continent.
Specialised in finance and economics, Asha Sumputh has been working on news reporting, both for television and as a freelance broadcast journalist. Asha has also been hosting several major events and conventions, as an Emcee, in prestigious venues such as Bercy, Zenith in Toulouse, Trianon in Paris, Printemps de la Mode, Yachts de Paris, Palais des Congrès and the Carrousel du Louvre for major players in the private and public sectors in France but also internationally (Shanghai, Brazzaville, Dakar, Rome, Milan etc.).
On top of her journalism activities, Asha Sumputh teaches at L’Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA) and at the Ecole de Management de Sorbonne (EMS-Université de Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne).
