Henry Ajder is a leading expert in AI whose thinking has informed and shaped the sector for nearly a decade. He has advised governments and tech firms on how to navigate the exponential changes of the synthetic revolution, helping them to balance innovation with a coherent ethical framework. Henry’s work as a broadcaster, writer and academic allows him to demystify the rapid expansion of the sector audiences while analysing the wider implications of AI on society, the individual, and the world in general.
Henry is the founder of Latent Space Advisory, which guides business and political leaders on effective AI strategy. This incorporates policy and regulation, frontier tech trends, ethics, and trust in the AI age. He has advised many of the world’s leading tech firms, including Meta, Google, Adobe and Bumble, and is currently an expert advisor to the EU, the UK Government, the World Economic Forum and the OECD.
In 2019, following the publication of his paper, The State of Deepfakes, which mapped the tangible effects of Generative AI on humankind, Henry became the world’s first Deepfake Cartographer. Since then, he has authored and co-authored reports for several organisations, including the World Economic Forum, The Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, MIT, The Law Commission, the Turing Institute and the Royal Society.
Henry’s documentary series for the BBC, The Future Will Be Synthesised, which anticipated the advent of AI and its effects, both good and bad, on humankind, was broadcast in 2022.
Henry Ajder is a globally–recognised media commentator whose work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, The Atlantic, CNN and Bloomberg. He is a seasoned speaker and has delivered keynotes to many leading organisations, including Citibank, Louis Vuitton, EY, McKinsey and The Economist. He is a Leading Voice in AI on LinkedIn and was named as a top Generative AI Power Player by the FT’s Sifted website.
Previously, Henry worked at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MiT) and the Partnership on AI (PAI), where he led their frontier AI programs, and he currently helms the Generative AI in Business program at Cambridge University. Henry also worked as Policy Head at Metaphysic, Hollywood’s premier AI digital production studio, and was head of Threat Intelligence at Sensity, the world’s first deepfake-detection startup.
