Ian’s focus is on how individuals and organizations can learn to not only adapt to change but to develop a healthy appetite for it. His research has shown that our brains evolved in order to cope with change and that we can harness this fact to create more flexible, change-enabled and ultimately more fulfilled individuals and organizations.
He is an expert in how to harness stress, use anger, solve problems, boost confidence and understand the dynamics of success. He explains how the intelligence and innovation of teams can be boosted far above the individual IQ of any one individual and has analysed the mind and behaviour of world leaders at conferences across the globe.
Ian Robertson is co-director of the Global Brain Health Institute, Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Trinity College Dublin, Research Professor at the University of Texas at Dallas and Visiting Professor at University College London.
His multiple-translated popular books include How Confidence Works, The Stress Test, Mind Sculpture, The Mind’s Eye, Stay Sharp and The Winner Effect.
Robertson’s work focuses on a unique combination of practical, accessible psychology and cutting-edge neuroscience.
