With over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, Kwame Bekoe is presently the CEO and Co-Founder of AfriSAF, a company set to revolutionise access to feedstock in Africa, enabling and developing some of the most competitive clean energy projects in the world.
Kwame brings a strong background in aircraft engineering, design, business development, and sustainability having worked for Airbus and GE Capital across the EMEA region with a strong focus on Africa. He has supported and led multiple strategic campaigns, securing over $5 billion worth of business with new and existing operators, and was part of a team managing over $1 billion worth of aviation assets financed across Africa. Most recently he worked for Zero®, an energy company founded by Formula1 executives.
In 2018 he was recognised as one of a top 40 under-40 leaders in the Aviation category, and subsequently in 2020 received recognition from UN’s MIPAD (Influential People of African Descent) as a top 100 under-40 personality for business and entrepreneurship. A natural explorer, he has travelled to 30 of the 54 African countries, cycled across West Africa and climbed Mount Toubkal and Kilimanjaro.
Kwame Bekoe is actively involved in capacity development efforts in emerging markets and frequently consults and provides thought leadership across diverse facets of business and entrepreneurship through his ventures in Agriculture, Wellness, Food, Hospitality and Art all in Africa. As a purpose-driven leader, he is determined to make an impact through the application of disruptive technology to promote sustainable and transformative growth, whilst driving socio-economic development.
