Louise Minchin is a well-known and respected broadcaster, journalist and TV presenter. She presented the UK’s most watched Breakfast programme BBC Breakfast on BBC One for 20 years. Louise currently co-presents the BBC’s flagship consumer series, Rip Off Britain. With a reputation for engaging storytelling and insightful reporting, Louise has become a trusted voice in British media and is a successful author and podcaster. In 2023, she served as the Chair of the judging panel for the prestigious Women’s Prize for Fiction.
In her podcast, Push Your Peak, Louise interviews elite athletes about the mental and physical challenges they face in their pursuit of excellence. This passion for endurance sports is a defining feature of her life. She rediscovered her love for athletics through a BBC Breakfast Christmas cycling challenge and she embarked on her first triathlon in 2013. Since then, she has qualified for the Great Britain age-group team, competing in five World and European Championships, competed in the Norseman triathlon in 2019. In February 2020 she participated in a gruelling 100-mile hike across the Namibian desert for Sport Relief, aimed at raising awareness for mental health.
