M.J. Akbar has been editor of a number of magazines and daily papers, including Sunday and The Telegraph. He is currently Editorial Director of India Today and Headlines Today, and also Editor-in-Chief of The Sunday Guardian.
He has authored eight noteworthy books on Indian history, including India: The Siege Within, Nehru: The Making of India, Kashmir: Behind the Vale, The Shade of Swords: Jihad and the contention amongst Islam and Christianity, and Blood Brothers. His new book, Tinderbox: The Past and Future of Pakistan, has been published by HarperCollins.
