She began her broadcasting career as a news presenter at Sunrise Radio, before going on to work with both B4U Music and the BBC, where she quickly established herself as a versatile reporter, correspondent, and presenter. As a foreign affairs correspondent for BBC World News, Attika featured prominently on programmes including Impact with Yalda Hakim and Global with Matthew Amroliwala, and she also served as the main presenter for the BBC’s pioneering Facebook Live broadcasts.
She is the founder and host of Positive Solace, a twice award-nominated podcast that explores mental health and wellbeing, resilience and human connection by challenging mainstream narratives and fostering inclusive conversations.
A leading advocate for equity and representation in media, Attika has worked closely with BBC leadership on diversity initiatives and remains a vocal champion for women and communities of colour. Her commitment to public service includes serving as Lady Mayoress of Rushmoor and supporting numerous grassroots charities. In 2019, she made history as one of the youngest ethnic minority candidates to stand for both the European Parliament and the UK General Election.
