Charles Perry is a well-known pioneer in sustainability, a green entrepreneur and climate leader, with deep commercial expertise embedding sustainability into the DNA of many large multinationals, as well as building several purpose-driven businesses.
Initially a marketing professional who focused on launching environmental products and services, he completed his MBA, and joined BP to launch beyond petroleum before heading up BP’s renewables business.
Upon leaving BP, he joined GreenOrder, a US sustainability consulting firm with clients including GE and GM, and then co-founded SecondNature, one of the UK’s leading sustainability consultancies with clients including Tesco, Barclays and Network Rail. He sold SecondNature to Anthesis Group, where he served as Director leading the strategy practice during his earn-out and exit.
Charles Perry went on to co-found GRIDSERVE Sustainable Energy, a UK market leader in battery storage infrastructure. He played a key role on the UN COP26 Climate Champions team, where he successfully led the global Aviation sector to sign up to the Paris Agreement and commit to Net Zero by 2050.
Charles Perry is an Ambassador for the Climate and Nature Bill and an Al Gore Climate Reality Leader, having co-founded Climate Reality UK. He has a BA from Brown University and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
