Harriet Beveridge is a performance expert, executive coach, keynote speaker and co-author of the bestselling Will It Make The Boat Go Faster?. For more than 20 years, she has helped leaders, teams and organisations achieve high performance by combining evidence-based performance strategies with practical, sustainable approaches to success.
Harriet began her career as a management consultant at Ernst & Young, where she worked with organisations on complex strategic and operational challenges. It was there she recognised that the biggest barriers to performance were rarely technical—they were how people worked, communicated and focused. In 2001 she met Olympic Gold Medallist Ben Hunt-Davis while they were both working in performance coaching. Initially sceptical that elite sport had much to teach business, Harriet soon became convinced by the Will It Make The Boat Go Faster? philosophy and co-authored the bestselling book, translating elite performance strategies into practical tools for everyday business.
Today Harriet works with organisations across a wide range of industries, helping leaders and teams improve performance whilst also thriving. Drawing on psychology, neuroscience, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mental Health First Aid, she transforms complex behavioural science into clear, practical actions that audiences can immediately apply. Alongside her coaching qualifications, she holds an MSc with Distinction in Neuroscience and Psychology of Mental Health, bringing scientific rigour and credibility to her work.
Harriet is also known for her engaging, humorous delivery. A TEDx speaker, BBC Radio 4 contributor and former Edinburgh Fringe performer, she combines warmth, wit and evidence-based insight to challenge audiences, inspire lasting behaviour change and leave people with practical tools they can use long after the event. Her clients include Barclays, Rolls-Royce, Jo Malone, Screwfix, Linklaters and Frontier Economics.
