Jean-Louis Servan-Schreiber is a journalist of contemporary human, economic and social issues in both the print and broadcast media. He is presently the editor and publisher of the French bi-monthly magazine CLES.
Previously, he was publisher and editor-in-chief of Psychologies magazine which appeared in ten countries. Before that he was CEO of Groupe Expansion which publishes several economic papers and magazines, among them the bi-monthly L’Expansion, a leading business magazine in France, launched by him in 1967.
Jean-Louis Servan-Schreiber was born in 1937, the son of the journalist Emile Servan-Schreiber. Having received a Masters degree at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and subsequently began his journalistic career at the business daily Les Echos in 1959.
He taught journalism at Stanford University in California in 1971 and currently lives in Paris with his four four children and his wife Perla who is the co-publisher of CLES magazine.
