Dr Linda Yueh CBE is one of the most popular speakers on global trends and a renowned economist. She regularly gives private briefings to numerous global organizations who value her insights. Dr. Linda Yueh is Fellow in Economics, St Edmund Hall, Oxford University, Adjunct Professor of Economics, London Business School, and author of The Great Crashes: Lessons from Global Meltdowns and How to Prrevent Them, which was the Financial Times’s Best New Economics Books.
Her previous book was The Great Economists: How Their Ideas Can Help Us Today. The U.S. edition is: What Would the Great Economists Do? How Twelve Brilliant Minds Would Solve Today’s Biggest Problems. This book was selected as The Times’s Best Business Books of the Year and as Newsweek magazine’s Best Fiction and Non-Fiction of the Year. In addition to her academic work, Dr. Yueh is a broadcaster, for TV and radio, and was the BBC’s Chief Business Correspondent and host of “Talking Business with Linda Yueh”, as well as Economics Editor at Bloomberg TV.
Professor Yueh was Visiting Professor at Peking University and at LSE IDEAS where she was Chair of the LSE Economic Diplomacy Commission. She was an Adviser to the UK Board of Trade and a Board Director of a number of LSE-listed companies and Executive Chair of The Royal Commonwealth Society. She was a member of the UK Government’s Independent Review Panel on Ring-Fencing and Proprietary Trading and has advised the World Bank, European Commission, Asian Development Bank, and World Economic Forum, among many others.
Dr Linda Yueh has also been an advisor to the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), and a Board member of London & Partners, the official promotion agency for London. She is widely published, including in leading media, and is the Editor of the Economic Growth and Development book series at Routledge.
