At the age of 26, Patrick started his coaching career and set up the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in France — driven by a passion to scout new tennis talent. It is now the #1 tennis Academy in Europe and a training base for the world’s best ATP and WTA players.
In 1999, Patrick Mouratoglou began coaching and shaping the career of Marcos Baghdatis. He became the Junior World #1 and won the 2003 Australian Open Junior Championships. Between 2007 and 2011, Patrick coached Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Aravane Rezaï, Yanina Wickmayer, and Laura Robson. In these years, Patrick also welcomed Jérémy Chardy to the academy and began coaching Grigor Dimitrov, who entered the ATP Top 50 in just 5 months.
In 2012, Patrick took an opportunity to start coaching tennis icon Serena Williams, who then reclaimed the No. 1 spot. In 2014, Patrick Mouratoglou created the Champ’seed Foundation to help tomorrow’s tennis talents who lack the financial resources to reach the highest international level. Alum of this foundation include Stefanos Tsitsipas, Coco Gauff, Holger Rune, Alexei Popyrin, Linda & Brenda Fruhvirtova, and many more young stars on tour.
Patrick is also an international consultant for the leading TV networks: ESPN, Fox Asia, France Televisions and Eurosport International, where he hosts a show broadcasted in 54 countries.
In 2020, he launched a revolutionary international tennis league: the UTS league (Ultimate Tennis Showdown).
