Rosanna Lockwood is a leading international presenter, with a track record that includes hosting her own primetime show in the UK and extensive anchoring work for major news networks across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Her career has so-far spanned a specialism in finance and business news for platforms like CNBC, being at the forefront of the rise of opinion-led broadcasting in Britain, and extended stints living and working in multiple cities around the world. Currently based in Dubai, she travels widely for broadcast and live event projects.
’PrimeTime with Rosanna Lockwood’ was broadcast live on television and online from the News UK studios in London every weeknight, providing a high-impact forum for analysis and debate on major UK and international stories. During this project, Rosanna also became Piers Morgan’s trusted stand-in for his flagship debate show ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored’, handling complex and often controversial topics with a diverse line-up of opinionated guests.
Prior to this, Rosanna leaned into her financial markets knowledge as a presenter and correspondent for CNBC International, anchoring Squawk Box and Street Signs programming in London and Singapore, alongside providing European markets reporting for CNBC U.S., MSNBC and the wider NBC network. Rosanna joined CNBC’s on-air team in Singapore in March 2020, where she worked under strict lockdown protocols for the entire Covid-19 pandemic. During this time she also presented long-form episodes of CNBC’s The Edge and Inside E-Commerce.
Rosanna qualified as a journalist with a BJTC-accredited postgraduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the London College of Communication in 2013, and then worked as a radio reporter for the BBC and LBC, and as a television producer for Bloomberg and ITN in the UK. In 2015, she moved to Dubai for the first time, where she covered Middle East stock markets for Reuters and developed a career as a host and moderator for live events.
Rosanna has interviewed world leaders, central bank governors, and CEOs, and her prowess in the field of business and finance has made her a popular MC, chairperson, and panel moderator, for events around the world. She has delivered on-stage discussions with Nobel Prize-winning scientists, best-selling authors, and senior bankers at major conferences and summits in London, Paris, New York, Cairo, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Singapore. She has also filmed and hosted projects in conjunction with the UN’s Climate Change Conference (COP), and the World Economic Forum (WEF).
