Biography

Rosie Wilby is an award-winning UK-based comedian, author and broadcaster and the creator of global hit podcast and book The Breakup Monologues.

Rosie has appeared many times on BBC Radio 4 programmes including Woman’s Hour, Saturday Live and Four Thought, TV programmes including Good Morning Britain and at major festivals around the world. Her first book Is Monogamy Dead? was longlisted for the Polari First Book Prize and followed a trilogy of live solo shows investigating the psychology of love and relationships.

Rosie loves to use her trademark humour as a way to unpack difficult questions about modern life and spread awareness of more conscious ways of beginning, ending and maintaining all forms of human relationships – romantic, platonic and professional. Her disarming conversational style has earned her the nickname, ‘the lesbian Louis Theroux’.

A proud LGBTQ activist and Switchboard charity patron, Rosie Wilby particularly aims to highlight the human narratives that fall outside of the mainstream and to encourage all of us to celebrate the uniqueness of our stories. She writes on sexuality, dating and post-traumatic growth for a host of international publications, regularly speaks at science, philosophy, literature and comedy festivals and has interviewed authors and musicians including Armistead Maupin and kd Lang for broadcast radio.
