Samantha Johnson is an award-winning international sports broadcaster, with a track record hosting at some of the biggest sports events on the planet.

Part of the FIFA family, Samantha Johnson had the prestigious role of co-hosting the 2022 World Cup Draw, watched by tens of millions of television viewers across the globe. She’s also hosted the Best FIFA Football Awards 2022, FIFA 2022 World Cup, European and Intercontinental Play-Off draws, the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Football draw, 2022 Club World Cup draw and the 2021 Futsal World Cup draw, as well as presenting FIFA’s Living Football magazine show.

With over 15 years experience in the sports and media industry, Samantha has worked for some of the world’s biggest sports networks. Currently presenting for the Al Jazeera Media Network, Samantha Johnson spent seven years anchoring flagship sports programmes for TRT World in Istanbul. Samantha has worked with Eurosport, BeIN Sports, and Sky Sports and has covered the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, 2016 and 2020 UEFA European Championships and the 2020 Turkish Grand Prix. Alongside her anchoring duties, Samantha secures exclusive interviews and produces long form features.

Away from the world of sport, Samantha Johnson works closely with UN Women and has hosted and moderated the launch of their initiative ‘Awake Not Sleeping’.
