  Marcus has been actively involved in health-tech since his role as Expert-in-Residence at the University of Oxford’s Foundry where he helped brilliant scientists to turn their ideas into business ventures – many of them driven by AI. At Google, where he part of the Office of the CTO, he worked on several pioneering AI initiatives that can provide inspiration for others looking to harness the power of AI.
  In healthcare, for example, he has worked with groundbreaking innovators who are saving lives and improving quality of life through AI, and he is an advisor or investor to many AI-driven including:
   
  – Oxford Cancer Analytics, which is pioneering early cancer detection using proteomics – achieving 96% accuracy for lung cancer from a small sample of saliva.
  – Ufonia, which is innovating with autonomous clinical conversations with patients that provide doctors with greater insights – built by doctors for doctors
  – ILOF, which is using photonics and AI to create optical fingerprints that are ushering in a new era of personalized medicine.
  – Shiftsa, which is using AI to identify toxins in seeds radically reducing the risk of wasted crops and protecting lives in the Global South.
  – Ki, the world’s first AI-driven insurance syndicate, developed by Google Cloud for Brit Insurance.
