Brunello Rosa is a financial macroeconomist and geopolitical strategist, included in the list of the top-100 financial-services influencers in the world by Onalytica, and recognised as thought leader by several independent organisations and institutions.
He was included in the Power List 2025 by Forttuna Group (New York), a prestigious award that celebrates 100 “influential visionaries” selected from over 1.5 million profiles across more than 100 countries and was recognised as Top 20 Dynamic CEOs in the UK by the magazine CEO Publication, with a profile article titled “The Pioneering Visionary”. He is author of “Smart Money. How digital currencies will win the new Cold War – and why the West needs to act now,” which was selected by the Financial Times among the Best Economics Books in 2024. He is author of several publications in leading periodicals and is regularly and widely quoted in the most relevant media outlets. He is often invited as a guest in tv and radio programs to comment the current geopolitical and macro-financial events.
Brunello is the CEO and Head of Research at Rosa & Roubini Associates, an independent macro-financial and geo-political advisory firm, which was recognised in 2022 and 2023 as “best independent macroeconomic research and advisory firm” by the Corporate Vision magazine. He previously served as co-Head of Research and Managing Director at Roubini Global Economics, which he joined from the Bank of England, where he worked in Markets, Financial Stability and its Centre for Central Banking Studies.
Brunello Rosa holds a number of policy advisory positions at the European Investment Bank, the UK Parliament, the Bank of England, the International Chamber of Commerce and the Italian Embassy in the UK. Brunello is an active member of several international think tanks such as Chatham House, the International Institute of Strategic Studies and the Institute of Directors. Brunello is also a Freeman of the City of London Corporation, and a freeman of the Worshipful Companies of International Bankers and of Management Consultants.
Brunello Rosa also holds a number of academic positions.is an Adjunct Professor at Bocconi University’s Business School, after being Visiting Professor for several years. He is a Visiting Professor at City, University of London. He is also a Visiting Senior Fellow at the School of Public Policy and an Associate of the Centre For Macroeconomics of the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he is convener of the Executive Education course in Global Macroeconomic Challenges.
