It’s been quite a year for Mark so far… Starting with The Guardian awarding him the accolade of “Star of Tech City” describing him as “one of the people who are changing our world and helping to boost economic growth.” He went on to be named in the “Silicon 60 Global Tech Entrepreneurs,” “The Most Influential Londoners” “The Sunday Times Top people in Britain,” “The Drum’s Digerati List,” “The Debrett’s Top 10 Digital List,” and was invited to do a TED talk which quickly reached millions of views.
Mark’s journey started in 2003 when he created the first digital transformation consultancy for celebrities and public figures and became the go-to “digital guy” for the Hollywood A-list. His company was soon acquired by the world’s biggest talent agency William Morris Endeavor where Mark was installed as the first Chief Digital Officer in the Entertainment Industry.
After leading the digital transformation of over 100 entertainment brands and public figures — from Lady Gaga and Usher to Buckingham Palace and Barack Obama — Mark started a new company to apply all these learnings and drive digital transformation for consumer brands.
Working directly with the C-suite of the some of the world’s largest companies, Mark’s new startup set strategy and up-skilled teams to drive digital transformation across their business. It was acquired by Vice Media in 2015 where Mark became Senior Vice President and Head of Innovation, helping to drive its transition from a humble print magazine to a multi-billion dollar youth media group while picking up Cannes Lions, Emmys and even several Oscar Nominations along the way.
He is Chairman of the Digital Leadership Council, which exists to close the digital divide in society by bringing together the best digital minds of our time to answer questions submitted by the general public. So far over 3000+ questions have been submitted and answered by this council of digital experts.
In the past few years Mark has been on a mission to democratize digital transformation and has travelled to over 100 countries and up-skilling thousands of people each month. Through fun, provocative keynotes and workshops he teaches the frameworks and techniques used to digitally transform the world’s most powerful companies and celebrities.
