In 2023, Kinvara Balfour was chosen as a leading cultural female by The Wall Street Journal to star in a series of paid-partnership films shot in Saudi Arabia, a new cultural destination of the world.
Kinvara speaks at conferences around the world – for brands including Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Evian, UBS, Jimmy Choo and Richemont – about tech, culture and the zeitgeist. In 2014, she was one of only a few females invited to speak at President Obama’s Global Entrepreneurship Summit. She has directed the launch of several major tech start-ups – including the hugely successful DailyCandy.com (sold to Comcast for $125 million in 2008) and a new digital platform for Time Out. Kinvara has also directed the digital platforms and content for Vanity Fair UK.
Kinvara Balfour is the creator of THE VISIONARIES, a series of mini-films shot on iPhone featuring the pioneers of the world (Soho House founder Nick Jones, screenwriter Peter Morgan, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales) which airs on Kinvara’s YouTube channel.
Kinvara was Executive Producer on MCQUEEN, the twice BAFTA-nominated film (Best Documentary and Outstanding British Film) cinematic biopic about Alexander McQueen which aired in cinemas globally.
In recent years, Kinvara Balfour hosted ‘Fashion in Conversation at the Apple Store’ with icons including Tom Ford, Anna Wintour, Manolo Blahnik and Natalie Massenet. The series is available to an audience of over 900 million on iTunes.
