Frank Poulsen is a film and documentary director with an activist mindset, who is best known for his documentaries on the environment.
Poulsen has recently completed documentaries on the fate of Africa and, specifically, the mobile telephone industry but his work is varied and other themes include development and youth issues.
Frank Poulsen graduated from the National Film School of Denmark and began his career at a Copenhagen TV Network. His work is influential and in 2012 he co-founded an organisation to develop an international hub of knowledge and inspiration for people engaged in story-telling through documentaries and film making. He has also worked as a photographer and scriptwriter
Frank Poulsen has received numerous awards including most recently at the Human Rights Film Festival 2012. The themes of his work included: Youth, The environment and Development issues.
