Biography

Mark Wilcox is the driving force behind the niche business that is Change Capability Consulting Ltd. He works with leading organisations on developing a clear line of sight between the strategic goals of the business and the people activities the organisation pursues. Over the first 25 years of his career he worked in corporate HR roles with Sony and Nestle.

Educated with the Open University, where he gained a BSc in Psychology, Mark extended his insight into people and teams with an MSc in Occupational Psychology from Birkbeck College, University of London. Having applied his specialist learning in many fields of HR Mark went on to complete an MBA with Bradford School of Management. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development and a member of the British Psychological Society. In addition he has presented on the masters programmes of a number of UK and European business schools.

In his consulting work Mark works with clients as diverse as the British Army, Microsoft, Harris, Fasthosts, Pernod Ricard, Qualcomm, Telia Sonara, Sony Mobile, Redcats, Roche, Balfour Beatty and Bombardier. In addition he has contributed to the MBA teaching at a number of business schools in Europe and has taught change leadership on the Defence Academy of the United Kingdoms, Defence Strategic Leadership Programme.

Mark Wilcox has co authored, with Jonas Ridderstrale, Re Energizing the Corporation, How leaders make change happen, was published by Jossey Bass in Feb 2008. It is now available in 14 languages. The second book, commissioned by Kogan Page, published May 2015, Engaging Change, a people centred approach to business transformation was co authored by Mark Jenkins MBE. Mark is now writing his third book, Effective Talent Management, aligning strategy, people and performance to be published with Gower in the spring of 2016.
