Cemal Ezel is the Founder of Change Please CIC, Old Spike Roastery and Coal Rooms Restaurants. Change Please is a social enterprise that trains homeless people to be baristas and pays them the London Living Wage. They also provide housing to these individuals within 10 days of starting employment and support them into onward jobs. Change Please has expanded to eight countries and has been listed by Marketing Week as one of the 100 Most Disruptive brands in the UK. The organization represented the UK in the Chivas Venture Finals and won World’s Best Social Enterprise.
Bloomberg has named Change Please the World’s most promising startup, and it was Sir Richard Branson’s “Start Up of The Year” in The Sunday Times. Additionally, Change Please recently won the Queen’s Excellence award for Social Mobility.
