Dumisani Hlophe is Public Speaker, researcher, and writer on the following areas: Political Environmental Analysis; Social Commentary; Inspiration and Motivation Talks; & Team Building. He hosts the blog www.kunjalo.co.za and presents a current affairs talk show programme on www.radiojunto.co.za from Monday to Thursday between 20:00 and 22:00.

Dumisani holds a master’s degree in Political studies from the University of Natal – Durban, now called University of KwaZulu-Natal. He is a well known political analyst and his work covers South African as well as African political economic issues. He has been a manager of research at a number of South African research institutions such as the Centre for Policy Studies (CPS); and the Centre for Development Research (CDR). He has also been the Political editor of the biggest weekly paper in South Africa – “The Sunday Times”. Prior to this, he has had weekly columns with the weekly “The City Press” newspaper; “The Independent on Saturday”; and the daily “The Sowetan”. He has also contributed major political feature articles to South African prominent papers such as “The Star”; and “The Mail and Guardian”. From time to time, he also contributes to the “Times Swaziland Sunday”.

Dumisani is a well sought after political scientist; public policy development practitioner and analyst; and also sought after on social analysis by various media houses from print, electronic and radio. He has also made presentations throughout the world on a number of socio-political and economic issues on South Africa and the continent at large. He is also considered a major speaker on major South African issues, and does a significant work on motivational and inspirational speaking. His talks and motivational speaking is informed by a significant research, and enjoys objectivity and scientific considerations.
