Adam Marshall is Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce – one of the UK’s leading business organisations, where he represents the interests of over 75,000 businesses, covering every region, size and sector, who collectively employ nearly six million people.

He has strong insights into Westminster and Whitehall, through regular contact with senior political figures across the spectrum, including top Cabinet ministers. He is currently heavily engaged on the potential impacts of Brexit on British and international business of all sectors and sizes – and is working to ensure that political leaders in the UK and the EU are focused on the real-world, practical issues affecting businesses.

Examples of engagement include recent participation in the Prime Minister’s visit to Japan as part of a high-level business delegation, and very frequent and regular scheduled meetings with senior cabinet ministers on issues affecting business, including Brexit.
