Dorothea Baur – Keynote Speaker

Dorothea Baur is a consultant, international expert, speaker and lecturer with many years of experience and excellent qualifications. She puts her finger on sore points, identifies blind spots and shows how ethics can be credibly and effectively integrated into business. She impresses with authenticity and the courage to engage in controversy. She gets to the heart of things. Dorothea Baur has a solid academic background with a PhD from the University of St. Gallen as well as research and teaching experience at leading European business schools.

She is the founder and owner of Baur Consulting and an expert with many years of international and interdisciplinary experience in the field of responsibility, sustainability and ethics. In addition to her role as a consultant, she is an internationally sought-after speaker and lecturer.

She successfully advises companies, pension funds, foundations and NGOs on issues related to sustainable investments (ESG), artificial intelligence and ethics, as well as corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability. She also regularly gives presentations and leads workshops for various target groups on these topics.

Since August 2021, Dorothea Baur has been Chair of the newly created Sustainability Council of Thurgauer Kantonalbank. Dorothea is also a member of the jury of the Ethics and Trust in Finance Prize. Previously, she was, among other things, an Associate at the Institute for Social Banking, as well as the independent Ethics Officer of Alternative Bank Switzerland, an honorary board member of the Ethos Académie, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the BUCHI Foundation.

Among other things, Dorothea is a Fellow of ForHumanity, an organization working on the development of an audit process for automated decision systems, and Ethics Lead at Women in AI Switzerland. She is also a member of the Ethics Board of POSMO, a Swiss data cooperative with a mobility app, and a Founding Fellow of AI Talk Live, an international initiative to promote AI for the benefit of humanity.

Dorothea Baur teaches at various universities and universities of applied sciences. Since January 2022 she has been publishing a column on Ellexx, an independent money-media-platform for women (in German).
