Many people think of ethics as abstract philosophy whose birth dates back several centuries, or even worse, as something that automatically makes you feel somehow ‘inadequate’, and thus bad. Dorothea refutes these prejudices with her speeches.
Her keynotes are anchored in the here and now, and they are thought-provoking. Her authentic and lively style inspires audiences. Whether she speaks in front of financial professionals, technology enthusiasts, sustainability experts, or any selection from the general population, she succeeds in captivating those in attendance.
With her broad, interdisciplinary knowledge, she points out surprising connections. Above all, Dorothea makes sure that she presents her thoughts in a language that is appropriate for the audience and with a certain lightness. That’s how ethics is fun.
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability are an integral part of successful corporate management. Customers, employees, shareholders and the communities in which companies operate demand a credible commitment to the environment and society.
I advise and accompany companies, foundations and NGOs in their projects at the interfaces of business with society, environment and politics. I help them clarify their values and thereby secure internal support and external legitimacy.
Never before has technological progress been faster, and never before has awareness of the ethical implications been so great. Especially in the field of artificial intelligence, in the context of blockchain and of course in data protection, there are major ethical challenges but also opportunities.
I advise and guide companies and other stakeholders to design technologies in line with their own values and to use them considerately but effectively.
Sustainable investments are hotly debated everywhere. But words are not enough. Customers, investors and regulators want to see action.
The plethora of products and service providers in this area is overwhelming. Before deciding on a particular ESG approach, however, it pays to clarify one’s own values and motivation.
I provide conceptual advice to investors on sustainable finance. I help them develop an investment policy that is consistent with their values, makes a relevant contribution to sustainability, and enjoys both internal support and external recognition.
