Alan O'Neill‘s Biography
With over 30 years of experience from the boardroom to the front line, Alan O’Neill, “The Change Agent”, has helped brands achieve better results.
In a dynamic world, O’Neill knows what it takes to drive change in a business – from top to bottom…and back to front. It’s about having a customer-centric culture, engaged people, and a supercharged sales effort.
Across B2B, B2C and the Public Sector, O’Neill’s clients have included global brands like Selfridges, Bank of Ireland, Harrods, Eli Lilly, Intel, Lufthansa, Mercedes, Moet Hennesy, Ramada Hotels, Scottish Power, Sherry Fitz, St. Gobain, The UN, Vodafone.
Up to 2004, Selfridges for example was a sleeping giant – but in recent years has achieved two significant accolades. First, it’s officially the best department store in the world and secondly one of the most profitable (per m²). Alan was their lead consultant for many years enabling this better performance.
A trainer, author and visiting professor with Ashridge, O’Neill is also a trusted mentor to CEOs and board directors who seek his advice on various business issues.
O’Neill is also a columnist for Ireland’s biggest Sunday Business paper, the Sunday Independent. Each week he writes a case study on a real business, identifying a key challenge that they are facing and giving suggestions for improvement.
