Biography

Alexandra Pascalidou is a journalist, TV and radio host and producer, author, lecturer, playwright, actress and human rights activist. She is an ambassador for the Femdefender Foundation, Mentor Sweden and Terrafem, and board member of the Läxhjälpen(Homework Help) foundation, among others.

 

Pascalidou has worked as a TV and radio host, moderator, master of ceremonies, debate leader and interviewer in a wide range of programmes – from the multicultural weekly programme Mosaik, to the morning news program Nyhetsmorgon and the early evening talk show Förkväll, to the 2004 Summer Olympics, the Swedish music competition Melodifestivalen and the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 – both Swedish and European edition -, the EU Parliament election polls coverage and the radio debate show P1 Debatt. Furthermore, she has produced several acclaimed documentaries for Swedish national TV.

 

One of the world’s first #MeToo books was released in 2017 with Pascalidou as the main editor: #MeToo – Moving On.

 

In February 2018, a published article went viral about Pascalidou’s meeting with her Nazi tormentor, after 13 years of harassments.
