Greg Fairlie is a presenter, broadcaster, multi tasked video journalist and business communications expert with experience in radio and TV built up over three decades at leading UK and Middle East networks.
Greg Fairlie has worked for the BBC, Virgin Media, ORF, CNBC Europe and MBC. For the past decade has been based in Dubai anchoring on state broadcaster Dubai One TV’s Emirates News.
Being based in Dubai for the past 11 years Fairlie has been surprised by the amount of entrepreneurs and start ups who have come here for a better life as Europe and the US copes with the ‘global downturn’, however, not without their struggles.
Fairlie has covered many regional stories including the World Economic Forum’s Annual Summit on the Global Agenda in Dubai, Thought Leaders Summit, World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi along with interviews with Sheikhs, Prime Ministers, Ambassadors and key financial people in the UAE.
In Beirut, Greg Fairlie was able to develop a nightly business program on a completely Arabic TV Network. With English being the universal bridge for business, many experts and analysts wanted to be part of it.
Greg Fairlie interviewed Lebanon’s former Prime Minister Rafik Al Hariri a number of times and days before he was brutally assassinated.
He developed from scratch the business unit on Dubai’s first 24 hour English commercial TV Station, City 7.
Fairlie’s work focus area has been the Middle East but he has also often travelled in the region to Asia- India, Nepal, China and the Philippines.
