Biography

The orchestra conductor Michel PODOLAK studied in France at the Paris Music National Conservatory, but also in America, Holland, Austria, with great maestri like Jean Fournet,Manuel Rosenthal, Ferdinand Leitner (Mozarteum, Salzburg, Austria), Charles Bruck ( PierreMonteux School, USA).

Awarded by the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation, he has conducted many concerts in France and in Europe ( Moscou, Bratislava, Zagreb, Genêve, Utrecht …) with orchestras like the Région Centre/Tours Symphony Orchestra, the Nederlandse Omroep Stichting Orchestra, the Szeged Symphony Orchestra, the Lamoureux Orchestra, the Bohemian Orchestra, the Ile-de-France Symphony Orchestra, the Reims GrandTheater Symphony Orchestra, the 2E2M ensemble, the “Grandes Ecoles” Choir and Orchestra, the Paris RiveDroite Symphony Orchestra, the Loewenguth Youth Orchestra,… He worked also as assistant conductor and
choir conductor in different opera houses in France (Nice, Tours, Saint Etienne).

In 1999, he was artistic coordinator of the European Academy/ Aix en Provence International Festival. He has also been general manager of an artistic school (music, painting, theatre, dance), has held masterclasses in conducting, chamber music, interpretation (all instruments)

In 2009, Michel has recorded a CD with the Szeged Symphony Orchestra (Hungary)
including Debussy’s “Prelude à l’après midi d’un faune”, Ravel “Ma mère L’Oye”, Roussel “Festin de l’Araignée”.

On an another side, since 1991, Michel PODOLAK has been making many conferences for companies (all style, all countries) including great Schools like HEC (General Management, MBA Europe, MBA China …). His main subjects are the leadership (what can a manager, whatever his level could be, learn from an orchestra conductor) or “working together” (how does an orchestra work, how can he improve its collective result). Michel Podolak works alone or with artists from the group he founded in 2006, “Artistes en Mouvement” ( Artists in Movement)
