Palma is a pioneer in mindful leadership, working at the intersection of neuroscience, wisdom traditions & business. She is also the Co-head of the Lisbon Inner Development Goals Chapter. Her volunteering work at St. Joseph´s hospice gives her a unique perspective on living life with urgency and meaning.
Spurred by her belief that the key to changing the world is changing the relationship to our inner landscape, Palma set out in 2013 to combine executive coaching and mindfulness – introducing her techniques to corporations as more than just a wellbeing tool. She develops emotional depth in business leaders to support them through successful transformation processes, applying a trauma-sensitive approach. Palma has spoken at global organizations such as Deutsche Bank, Facebook, PWC, CNN, Google Campus, Kerzner International, and The London School of Economics.
Palma’s book The Authority Guide to Mindful Leadership offers simple techniques for leaders to manage themselves and others through times of uncertainty and change. Her work has been spotlighted in renowned publications such as The Guardian, HR Director Magazine, Sunday Times Style, and the Evening Standard.
Palma’s meditations are featured on Meditation Studio and Insight Timer, two of the leading global meditation apps.
Originally starting her career as a lawyer, Palma transitioned to work as a board-level headhunter in Asia and Europe for prestigious firms Heidrick & Struggles and Korn/Ferry before making all her passions her profession in 2013. Palma is a truly global citizen: born in Munich, she has lived and worked in Shanghai, New York, Zurich, Hong Kong and London. She is currently calling Lisbon her home.
